The reason I take this courses, it's because I had to buy a nail salon (I'll explain later the details)
And, I love to do something nobody could expect me to do, and overall succeed.
I want to learn, I love it and overall I want to know what I'm talking about, overall if I have some employees in the nail salon.
Am I feel confortable ? See by yourself, I'm a tall, straight, caucasian guy in the middle of ten women, and I'm in a nail technician class....
Most of the guys I know who work in the nail industry are from vietnam.
There is an other guy in the class actually, he is thai, very friendly and funny.
He used to do pedicure and manicure to his mom if I understood well and plans to open a day spa with 2 other friends.
The rest of the class seems to loveeeeee nails, and for most of them this is a real passion.
So, as I said, I ve never polish one single nail in my entire life.
For now, the courses are really easy for me and maybe a little bit slow, we study microbiology, safety, sanitation, desinfection etc
I know most of it from my bachelor in chemistry.
But tomorrow, we practice for the first time on each other.
I'm supposed to read about manicure, I'll do later tonight ^_^
So, I'm not unconfortable, but I'm not really in my confort zone neither of course.
First of all the english is not my language, so with my accent, here in the south, it's kind of hard to look smart when I have to use a basic language that everybody needs me to repeat to understand.
I'll explain about the first practice lesson tomorrow, I'm sure it'll be funny.... or not ^^
